MedCost LLC provides comprehensive, fully-integrated health plan solutions to help manage costs and encourage health and wellness for employers across North and South Carolina and beyond. Through our partnerships with over 70 claims administrators, including our wholly-owned subsidiary, MedCost Benefit Services, we offer a family of products and services that includes:
- Care Management – innovative population health management programs including utilization management, transitional care management, case management, maternity management, nurse health coaching, and health and wellness
- Benefit Solutions – full-service third party administration through MedCost Benefit Services, offering a broad range of products and services that are affordable and flexible, including medical and dental administration as well as flexible spending account and COBRA administration
- Networks – a vast network of MedCost providers throughout the Carolinas, including all hospitals and over 30,000 physicians; and for MedCost Benefit Services’ clients outside the Carolinas, relationships with national networks for primary PPO and travel, and an exclusive partnership with Virginia Health Network to market VHN ULTRA in Virginia
MedCost LLC was founded in 1983 and is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; MedCost Benefit Services was formed in 1998. Our clients are our partners, and we respond quickly to their needs. We have worked tirelessly to establish a standard of excellence based on business integrity, value, and exceptional service. Our constant goal has been to provide exceptional service at an affordable cost.
MedCost LLC is jointly owned by Carolinas HealthCare System and Wake Forest Baptist Health.
