MedCost's Provider Claim Activity
Report is now available online and will no longer be mailed.
The online
version is just like the paper version. It provides information on
repriced and non-repriced claims (all in one report) and gives
access to
claims processed within one (1) business day. You can now run your
reports
daily, weekly or monthly. You can also choose to run all claims,
or by a
member name
or member ID.
To access this report, all you need to do is register or login in
above.

Repricing Inquiry
Registered
providers can review information on repriced and non-repriced claims. You can check repriced amounts and get all contact information
(and
web-links) for over 45 payers who have their own online status sited.
The "Contact MedCost"
feature allows you to provide patient
policy information
on non-repriced claims
without having to refile the
claim
to MedCost
and make requests to have non-received claims
sent to the payor.

Reference
Guide
Need
basic benefit or co-pay information? The MedCost
Reference Guide gives you information on all active as well as inactive
companies
that access the MedCost PPO network. Employer
name, group number, claims administrator and eligibility phone numbers
are all available
and accessible within seconds. The Reference
Guide is available in an Adobe Acrobat PDF file that can be downloaded
and saved and is available to all
registered web users.

FAQs
Why does a supervisor or Office Manager have to register?
Medcost issues one administrative User ID. Once this has been registered
the administrator can then create and/or delete staff accounts and
give access to individual staff members for one or all of our web
services. Your supervisor/office manager can make the services available
to everyone that needs access whether you are in a small office or
a hospital with multiple departments.
This also allows Medcost to have a main contact person for any questions
or issues concerning the website.

How and when will I receive my User ID and Temporary Password?
You should receive your User ID and Temporary Password within 48 business
hours via the email address that you supplied during your registration.
If you have not received it within that time please contact us.
Please make sure you use a valid email address during your registration
and check back within the given timeframe.
Can more than one person in my office have an administrative User
ID?
Unfortunately we can only issue one administrative User ID since they
are based on your practice(s) tax ID. However, there is no limit to
the number of staff accounts you may have.

How can I tell if the account for my group has already been registered?
You should first ask your Supervisor/Office manager if they have already
registered for the practice. If they have forgotten or are not sure
please contact us.
My administrator is no longer here- Can I get a new administrator
User ID?
If your administrator is no longer employed at your practice or has
moved to
another department please contact us.
How can I get a staff account?
Please contact your Supervisor/Office Manager first to issue you a
User ID and password. If he/she is not sure your practice is
registered or have forgotten please contact us.

I
have lost my User ID and/or Password, what do I do?
If you are the administrator of the account and have forgotten your
password please go to the “Forgot Password” at the Log
in page and enter your User ID.
If you have lost your User ID please contact us.
If you have a staff account and have lost your User ID/password please
contact your administrator and he/she will be able to give you that
information.
Can
I get access/User ID’s to multiple practices?
If you have a large group that has multiple
practices under the same or different tax
id’s and would like access under
one administrative User ID please contact us. Please include the name of the practice(s), address, tax id(s)and
your contact information

Can a billing agency or outside collections firm have a User ID?
Before attempting to register for an account you should first contact
the office manager of the group you would like to gain access to
and find out if they are currently registered. You may
also provide Medcost with a copy of a “Business Agreement” between
your company and the practice and fax it to 336-970-2212 or contact us. Please
include your billing company name, phone number, practice name
and tax –ID(s) and your direct contact information.
I am a Chiropractor who do I contact for a User/ID or password?
Please contact your representative at the Chiropractic Network of the
Carolinas.
