About MedCost - Who is MedCost?

The MedCost/Nationwide Better Health Nurse Advice Line is a nurse triage hotline that allows members to speak directly with a nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These nursing professionals can help members make the best decisions about their health care. Nurses answer questions and provide information, including decision support when callers need to determine whether to go to the emergency room, visit their doctor’s office, or provide at-home care.

State-of-the-art information technology also provides callers with access to a large health and wellness audio tape library. Members can access tapes by phone or view a list of topics by identification number via the www.nationwidebetterhealth.net Web site.
