Information Change

Federal law requires provider directory information to be reviewed and verified at least every 90 days. To ensure prompt and accurate claims processing and an accurate provider list for our patients and payers, we ask that you update your information regularly by completing this form to notify MedCost of any changes prior to the effective date of the change.

Problematic Claims

MedCost defines a claim as "problematic" when it meets both of the following criteria:

  1. It has been outstanding for more than 60 days from the MedCost repricing date (but is less than one year from the date of service).
  2. Your follow-up efforts to resolve the issue with the claim administrator have been unsuccessful.

Become a MedCost network provider

The MedCost Network is the largest independent provider network in NC, SC and VA, but we are not limited to the Carolinas and Virginia. We welcome providers from other parts of the Southeast, as well as ancillary providers where our coverage extends nationally. Before a physician or facility is added to the MedCost Network, they must be credentialed and approved.

If you are a new practice or facility interested in joining the MedCost Network, please complete the form below. MedCost will determine if there is a need within your geographic region and will respond to your request within 15-20 business days.
