Just as we have in the wake of previous storms, MedCost will work closely with our clients, providers, payers, and members in declared disaster areas to offer additional flexibility and special considerations as needed, such as extending deadlines for claim submission or filing appeals. If you have a non-emergent need for certification for a MedCost Benefit Services member for an inpatient admission or outpatient service, precertifications will be waived in areas affected by the storm.
