Important Information About ACA Reporting

ACA Reporting Deadlines Are Approaching

MedCost is preparing to make ACA reports available soon! As previously communicated, MedCost Benefit Services will provide clients with all necessary health plan data for ACA reporting to the IRS.

Report Availability

ACA reports will be posted on the secure Employers portal of our website during the week of December 15, 2025.

To access your report:

  1. Go to MedCost.com.
  2. Click “For Employers” in the top menu.
  3. Under “Employer Account” on the right, click “Log In.”
  4. Enter your username and password.
  5. Select “Billing Reports” and open the “ACA Reports” folder.
  6. Choose the current report.
How to Use the Reports

Reports are in Excel format, allowing you to hide, delete, move columns, and sort as needed. Based on client feedback, we have added columns for employee effective date (Column AN) and termination date (Column AO) to reflect the latest coverage period within the calendar year. If there were multiple coverage periods for an enrollee within the year, only the most recent period will appear.

Using a Payroll Vendor?

If you outsource ACA reporting, please review our report. It will include details on COBRA participants that may be absent from payroll data.

Report Generation Date

Reports reflect data as of December 5, 2025. If enrollment changes occur between December 5–31, 2025, or if earlier updates were not reported to MedCost, you may need to amend your report to ensure accuracy.

Key Deadlines
  • March 2, 2026: Deadline to provide 1095 Forms to employees covered in 2025, upon request.
  • March 31, 2026: Deadline for electronic submission of Forms 1094 and 1095 to the IRS.
