PROVIDER MANUAL 

The MedCost Provider Manual is a comprehensive guide for the administration of all MedCost programs and is considered an extension of your MedCost Network agreement. This great reference tool is available here, or you can access it by visiting www.MedCost.com, choosing “For Providers,” selecting “Provider Onboarding,” and clicking on the “Download or View the MedCost Provider Manual” link.
 
The Manual covers useful information about contracting, provider services, patient identification, claims filing, billing/collection, and utilization management to ensure the most effective administration of your MedCost claims. 


ADDING A PROVIDER TO YOUR EXISTING PRACTICE?

If you are an existing practice that would like to add a new provider, you can do so by clicking here. To ensure the process is as effective as possible, please list only the new providers who are joining your practice; do not list existing providers.
 
If you are an existing provider who is starting a brand new practice that is not currently in our network, please complete this application.
 
Using the appropriate form for the situations described above ensures that the information is routed correctly and in a timely manner. Both of these forms also can be found under the “For Providers” section of our website. 


PROVIDER EVENTS 

MedCost most recently exhibited at the Multi-Payer Expo in Raleigh/Durham, NC as well as the North Carolina Health Insurance Institute in Statesville, NC during October. We enjoyed meeting many of you throughout 2018 and look forward to seeing you at events next year. As soon as our 2019 event schedule is confirmed, we will share that information with you.

MedCost was proud to sponsor the 2018 Winston-Salem Heart and Stroke Walk in October. The event raised over $471,000 to help people build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
